"As a Community Champion I have achieved more knowledge and understanding of the barriers that face people in today’s society, and how to deal with them. Sometimes these barriers or problems may need more than one person’s attention which is where the experience and dedication from other members of UP and Working staff help a great deal. They are very easy to get on with and very understanding thus making working together a whole lot easier and productive. This has been of great benefit to me as I have recently been employed. The help that I got from UP & Working has really boosted my confidence. I would advise anyone wanting to get into voluntary work to give UP & Working a chance because there are so many benefits from doing voluntary work. I would like to thank all of the UP & Working team. Thank you!"

 

Andrew has now secured full time permanent work, has passed his theory test and is learning to drive, to further enhance his career opportunities.
